NFL brings hammer down on Eagles head of security Dom DiSandro

The NFL has reportedly come down hard on Philadelphia Eagles head of security Dom DiSandro over his confrontation with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw two weeks ago.

DiSandro has been banned from the sideline for the remainder of the season by the league over the incident, according to Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press. DiSandro will still be allowed to travel with the team and perform his other duties.

DiSandro, known as “Big Dom” among Eagles fans, confronted Greenlaw after a play on the sideline during a Dec. 3 game. The incident led to both figures being ejected from the game, and DiSandro was initially given what appeared to be a one-game suspension.

The Eagles have four regular-season games remaining. It sounds like DiSandro is fine to return for the playoffs, so this will wind up being a five-game ban.
